Henry was born in 1698 in King William County, Virginia and his parents were Elender (Webber) and John Chiles, Sr.

Henry Chiles first married about 1725 in Virginia to Mercy (Webb) Chiles (1696-1749).

Henry Chiles married secondly about 1756 in Virginia to Susannah (Dicken) Graves (d: 1784).

He died on 10 June 1763 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia.
