Not the husband of (No Name)
Henry was born in about 1717.
Henry Duke, son of Capt Henry Duke, bought his first land in Brunswick Co on 1 Jun 1748, on the south side of Three Creeks.[1] This land adjoined that of John Duke.
On 6 Sep Henry Duke of Lunenburg County and his wife Elizabeth sold to Edward Goodrich the same land.[2]
Henry Duke was on the list of tithables for Mecklenburg Co as late as 1764, along with John Davis; Edmond, James, William and Thomas Taylor; Joshua Mabry; John Freeman; and Nathaniel Edwards. The Taylors and Nathaniel Edwards were related through Capt. Henry Duke’s sister, Elizabeth.
A list of children sometimes has been attributed to this Henry Duke, Duke-1138. These relationships do NOT appear to be documented and the children are probably not the children of this Henry Duke. They pretty certainly belong to the lineage of Marston Duke through his son, Marston (Marrey) Duke II, probably as children of Marrey's son John.[3] No children are known to be documented for this Henry Duke.
