He married Mary Green (eldest daughter of T. Green, a merchant from Birmingham) in 1776 at St Dennis' Church, Lime Street, London.
Henry was the High Sheriff for Hertfordshire in the year 1762. He inherited 203 acres at Rickmansworth and built a mansion there shortly before his death in 1813. Prior to this, the manor house was known as 'The Bury', which formed part of the Rickmansworth estate. Apparently, Henry was rather profligate with his resources. He left the estate for her life to his widow Mary, who subsequently married Mr. Thomas Deacon and the two of them continued to spend more than they earned, so the estate had to be sold. Mary died in 1827.
