- 2021-12-30: Removed Elizabeth (Greene) Reynolds (1668-abt.1722) as the spouse of Henry Hill, and replaced her with Elizabeth Unknown, for the following reasons:
- The two sources cited in this profiles provide zero identification that the wife of Henry Hill was Elizabeth Green. The La Mance source does not identify a wife for Henry Hill at all, and the Daniel Allen source states only that Henry Hill married Elizabeth of an unknown surname.
- In the profile of Elizabeth (Greene) Reynolds (1668-abt.1722), the Torrey "marriages prior to 1700" notes with great doubt that Elizabeth Green may have had a second marriage to a Hill or a Hull. Two of Torrey's sources mention this doubtful assertion: 1) Shotwell (1897) asserts (without evidence) that Elizabeth (Green) Reynolds m.(2) ____ Hull or Hill. and 2) Brownell (1903 states that Elizabeth Green m (1) Francis Reynolds, and 2) ____ Hill. Brownell likely a copy of the earlier Shotwell.. However Torrey and other also note that Francis Reynolds died in 1722 and some sources state that his wife Elizabeth also died in 1722 or slightly thereafter, hence there would have been little or no time for a second marriage. ##) The La Mance source also identifies Henry Hill as the father of Ann Nancy Hill born ca 1690 which was at the same time Elizabeth Green was married to Francis Reynolds and was having babies with him. Therefore Ann Nancy Hill could not be the daughter of Elizabeth Green and the cited sources proved that Elizabeth Green Reynolds could NOT be the wife of Henry Hill and the mother of Ann Nancy Hill.
