About Henry James Purvis-Russell-Hamilton-Montgomery
He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland. He was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kinross-shire. On 1906 his name was legally changed to James Purvis-Russell-Montgomery. He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Montgomery, of Stanhope, co. Peebles [U.K., 1801] on 1 April 1930. He was also known as Henry James Purvis-Russell-Hamilton-Montgomery as of 1933. He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Kinross-shire in 1934.
