4 January 1463-64: Instrument of resignation and sasine narrating resignation in the hands of James, earl of Mortoun, by George de Cunyngame, son and heir apparent of Sir William de Cunyngame, lord of Beltoun, as procurator for Margaret de Levinstoun, wife of deceased Henry de Levinstoun, son and heir of deceased Henry de Levynstoun, lord of Manerstoun, of her half of the lands of Blyth, lying in the barony of Lyntoun Rothryk and sheriffdom of Peblis, reserving a liferent (proceeding on procuratory dated at Snade, 15 November 1463, directed to George de Cunyngame and Archibald de Hepburn, burgess of Hadyngtoun), and sasine to Henry Levinstoun (son and heir apparent of John de Levinstoun of Manerstoun) and Jonet, his spouse. Done in the chapel of the castle of Dalketh. 18 April 1485: (Extract) Decree of the Lords of Council in the dispute between James, earl of Mortoun, and Henry Levingstoun of Manerstoun for his half of the lands of Blyth and as tutor to Elizabeth Mertene of Medehope, for the other half of said lands regarding the tenure thereof, whether it was by ward and relief, feu ferme, or blench, that the tenure is feu ferme for the reddendo stated in GD89/1/430 and without ward, relief or marriage of which they are discharged by said charter which was produced by the pursuers: the question whether Blythmuir was a commonty was referred by the Lords to declaration by the freeholders of the shire by brieves of perambulation or to any other form of process the parties may choose, 18 April, 1485.
