About Henry Monck, 5th Viscount Monck
"He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards. He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882. He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of County Wicklow. He fought in the East Sudan Campaign in 1885. He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wicklow in 1887. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin. He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Monck of Ballytrammon, co. Wexford [U.K., 1866] on 29 November 1894. He succeeded as the 5th Baron Monck of Ballytrammon, co. Wexford [I., 1797] on 29 November 1894.
