Chatham Daily Planet Feb 6,1920 Ridgetown- Feb 6 Mr Harry D Reynolds one of the best known and most progressive farmers of Kent County, died on Saturday evening at his home, Howard- Harwich Townline near Rondeau Park after an illness extending over several years. The late Mr Reynolds who was 50 years of age last July, was born on the farm on shich he died a son of the late William REynolds. He was a well read gentlemen and found of discussion on general topics with his friends. He always took an active part in matters pertaiing to the welfare of the agricultural calss, and it was in a large extent to his efforts that both Tobacco Growers and Bean Growers Associations were organized. He was familiar figure at public gatherings and his advice on public questions was much sought. He leaves a widow, two dtrs and one son to mourn his death. His mother also survives together with five sisters and three brothers Mrs George Guyitt and Mrs Frank Guyitt, of Guilds, Mrs Ada Halstead Ridgetown, Mrs James A Gemmill Tugaske, Sask, Mrs R Stirling of new Scotland, John Reynolds in Alaska, Dewart and Wesley of New Scotland. The funeral was held privately on Wed afternoon. Services at teh house was conducted by Rev R Osbourne of Thorncliffe assisted by Reb P E James of Guilds. Interment was mad in Morpeth Cemetery. The following acting as pallbearers Ed Mooney, W Holdaway, A E McRitchie, A M Fraser, W Jennings and James Stirling
