Henry Richardson

Notes for Henry Richardson 1654 Mary Richardson, daughter of Henry Richardson of Bolsover, and Thomas Fauke, son of Thomas and Dorothy Fouke, were married on November 9, 1654 at Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England. [1][2]

1654 Upon a certificate of Publicacon of mariage from Mr Thomas Curtis Parish Register of Northwingfeild - Thomas Fauke of Holmegate in the Parish of Northwingfeild husbandman son of Thomas & Dorothy Fouke of the said Town and parish and Mary Richardson of Williamthorpe in ye aforesaid Parish of Northwingfeild ye Daughter of Henry Richardson of Boulsover were married at Chesterfield ye xiiijth" of November. Witnesses then present vizt Mathew Hopkinson Richard Ashemoore & P. N. Reg.

1665 Henry Richardson was buried at Bolsover.

"Henricus Richardson ____ Bolesoveriensis Martij decimo quarto die sepultus fuit." [3]

Research Notes:

No baptism has been found for Mary Richardson, circa 1629.

1630 Henry Richardson and Jone Heath were married at Bolsover, in 1630.

1630 Henry Richardson and Jona Heath were married xxii November [November 22] at Bolsover. [4]

1631 Elizabetha Richardson filia henri Richardson et Jone ux prius dei secundo ? mensis September bapt: fuit. [5]

1634 Georgius Richardson filius Henrici Rishardson et Jona ux prius xviij die mensis Februarij [February 18] bapt: fuit. [6]

1636 Johanes filius Henrici Richardson et Jona ux ? [7]

1638 Robertus filius Henrici Richardson et Jona ux ? octano die mensis Aprilis baptizatus fuit. [8]

Three possibilities:

1) Jone Heath was a second wife for Henry and Mary was a daughter of Henry by his first wife. No first marriage for Henry Richardson has been found.

2) Richard Richardson, perhaps a brother of Henry, had daughter Maria born on December 20, 1631 at Bolsover [9]. Marie, spouse of Ricardi Richardson died on August 20, 1632 [10]. Perhaps Richard's daughter Mary was given to Henry and Jona.

3) The parish baptism records were missing 1618-1630. [11]

The relationship to Thomas Richardson of Ockbrook, if any, is unknown.

1590 William Hibberd, another yeoman with a lease, mortgaged his land and manorial rights to Thomas Richardson, for 5000 years, in 1590. Thomas Richardson was described in the document as "Thomas Richardson of Okebroke in the county of Derbye, smythe" [12]

1594 "Lease for 14 years by Thomas Richardson of Okebroke blacksmyth to Katherine Smythe widow of Cottage, piece of ground now a hempe place, tenth part of Ockbrook manor ...". [13]

1628 Thomas Richardson and Joan Martyn were married on February 9, 1627/28 at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [14][15]

1629 Marie Richardson, daughter of Thomas Richardson, was baptized on January 25, 1628/29, at Dronfield, Derbyshire, England. [16][17]

1637 "Bargain and sale by John Richardson of Thulston, gent, Frances Richardson, widow, mother of the said John, Thomas Richardson and Edward, brother of John, to Sir John Stanhope of Elvaston, for £110, of messuage and croft in Thulston, the Innoms close, Ahadlaie, hadlaies close, Longfurlonge, Atrathornefield, Kirkeashefeild, Southefeild, Bellitonfeild, Endow Field" [18]

1637/38 "Deed of exchange between (1) John Richardson of Thulston, gent., and Edward and Thomas, his brothers, and (2) William Turner of Derby, Richard Brookes of Ellvaston, gents, and Richard Piggin of Thulston, yeoman. For consideration of £24 Richardson gives Smalley Crofte, Elvaston, to Turner and Brookes, who give him seven lands, warranted by Piggin" [19]
