Herbert Edward Wallace

Like all Wallaces was Methodist??. Collingham, grew peaches. Married Marion Fitchat (Sheila Marion Moir named after her).

Peach farmer (collingham). 1st to discover the clay. Good looking. Tennis player (court at collingham).

1st wife Marion Fitchat. From the Coombs valley. Established family.

2nd wife: Rene van Rensburg (Someone added the name Muriel Janse Van Rensburg) (nursing sister in Gtown). Her daughters expected to inherit the farm. Issue. Herbert moved to George later. Herberts daughter from this marriage married Maurice Thomas(Thoman). 1st wife of 3.

Herbert was my grandfather. After his first wife died, he married my grandmother Rene (Muriel) who was 35 years younger than him. He was about 65 when my aunt Dawn was born and about 70 years old when my mother Heather (Tinkie) was born. He died when my mother was1.5 years old. Some of the children from his first marriage did not accept my mother as their sister while others were more like uncles and aunts than brothers and sisters.
