A resident of New York Hutner started his career in the Stock Market. During the 1940s he was the business partner of Tony Award winning producer Lester Osterman. During his term as chairman he served under Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush. Hutner married actress Zsa Zsa Gabor on November 5, 1962. The pair divorced after less than four years on March 3, 1966. Hutner later went on to become an investment banker.
