- "Matthew de Johnstone, the second son of Sir John above-mentioned, was designed Johnstone de Westerhall, or Westraw, by charter from the crown, and to him succeeded John, his son, in 1491, who was father of Herbert, who was succeeded by James, his grandson, in 1555 ... " [1534]
