Please be aware, John Leander "Big Johnny" Tilton, I ...[along with his descendants seen on this page].....is a Native Hawaiian from a Native Hawaiian Ohana. His line is but one of many Native Hawaiian lines originating in Hawaii and descending from two Tilton brothers, essentially...Frank Lalio/Lalionui Tilton, I and Leander Kahalewai Tilton, I. Both brothers, along with a third brother....whose line is extinct...come from the marriage of William Tilton, I with a Native Hawaiian by the name of Kanekapolei Miller Mela Tilton.

I am wondering if a mainland American line has somehow been merged with our kanaka maoli ohana in the belief that their John Tilton is the same as our John Leander "Big Johnny" Tilton, I. Just wondering....Lptm

No harm done if this is so. We may just need to do some un-merging if such is the case.
