Franklinville, Cattaraugus County, New York, United States
Hermon served with an Iowa regiment in the Civil War and returned home to Little Valley. The family had a farm on what is known as Murder Hill (Route 242 between Little Valley and Ellicottville.) He died in Franklinville, NY while in the care of his daughter, Gertrude Howard.
