Hermund Clausson Takle

Fra Bygdebok Hyllestad. He carried on as the user of Nesje flrom 1733-63. He was the sheriff over the so-called Kaupanger goods in the district. The division of property after Hermund in 1763 was the largest in Hyllestad at tht time with a total value of 666 rdl. gross and 642 rdl. net. There was a sloop with sail and full equipment valued at 50 rdl. In addition there was miscelaneous fishing gear. 145 in real money, a silver belt with red plush valued at 18 rdl. A silver can of one kilo was found at the farm still valued at 26 rdl. .The daughter Kari's marriage that year illustrated the relative wellstanding in the parish by the appropriate wedding invitation and the dowry..At the division of propety Kari's future father-in-law defended her. It was seen that the marriage was an agreement between Kari and her future father-in-law, Nils Lasseson Tveita and the farmer from Tveita was sure to find that shis daughter-in-law get what she had coming to her. She did get 31 rdl. as wedding present, the same as her older sister had received.
