Herschel "Ted" Hankins, 80

Herschel "Ted" Hankins, 80, Rushville, died at 6:05 a.m. today at the Rush Memorial Hospital.

He has several friends in Greensburg and Decatur County.

Mr. Hankins was born in Franklin County Sept. 29, 1903, the son of Gabe and Fronie Hess Hankins. He had lived in Rush County most of his life.

His wife, Helen Winkler Hankins preceded him in death in January 1979. He was also preceded in death by one son, three brothers and four sisters.

Servies for Mr Hankins will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Moster and Cox Mortuary at Rushville. Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery, Rushville.

Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
