Mrs. Hattie Folk Dies at 92 Years

Aged Coffeyville Woman was Invalid, Due to Broken Hip and Also Was Totally Blind

Mrs. Hattie Folk, widow of Ben Folk, who died here nineteen years ago, passed away at 2 o'clock this morning at her home, 921 West Fourth Street of pneumonia and infirmities of aold age. She was aged 92 years 6 months and 22 days and was one of the oldest if not the oldest person in Coffeyville. Mrs. Folk had been an invalid since she broke her hip in a fall about a year ago. She also was totally blind.

Mrs. Folk was born in Vincennes, Indiana and came to Coffeyville twenty five or more years ago. She is survived by five children, none of who live here. However she did not live alone, a family was sharing the house with her. Two sons, Charles and William Folk, live in Oklahoma and a third son, John lives At El Dorado. One daughter, Mrs. Anne Smith, lives at London, Ohio and another daughter, Mrs. Dora West in Tacoma, Washington. Ben Blagg, 1105 West 10th Street, this city and J. C. Smith, prominent Independence real estate man are grandsons.

Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Rev. Clark Wright of the First Christian Church and bhe burial will be made in Fairview Cemetery.
