About Hilda Biba

It is not clear why Richard married Hilda twice (7/11/1934 in Manhattan and 10/3/1934 in the Bronx).

The marriage between Richard and Hilda must have been divorced because Richard married a second time while Hilda was still alive.

There is no evidence of a marriage to her second husband Biba. Hilda had a sister Ethel Biba (Zeldin) (born 1/5/1912, death not ascertainable), who married Frank A Biba (born 3/1/1903, died 1/24/1992) in 1938 and had 2 children with him. It is possible that Hilda married her brother-in-law Frank after Ethel's unknown death and took care of her nephew and niece. I have not found any evidence for this theory.
