About Hilda Margarethe Longan
From the recollections of Anna Carrie (2010's): Hilda's parents were Cornileus Meldahl Rein and Carrie Marie Staaland. Both Norwegians.Married in Minnesota. I am not sure if Carrie was born in Norway or here. Cornelius was born in Norway coming to the US very young. Cornelius was born out of wedlock to Margarethe Meldahl. I believe his biological father was named Theo Grune. He took his mother's husband's name= Rein.
On July 26, 2023 Nathan F. Longan forwarded a genealogical chart from Anna Carrie Brooks. Both Nathan and AC think it was filled out by their grandmother Hilda, judging by the handwriting. This little document adds some new information. Oddly it says that Hilda's father was Severt Cornelius Rein. Meldahl was his mother's maiden name.
