Mrs. Hilja Komula 86, Ontonagon, died Monday at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday.

The former Hilja Korkko was born in Finland 9/18/1886 and came to the United States in 1907. She was first employed at the Scott Hotel in Hancock. In 1908 she married Jacob Komula and they moved to Their home on the Firesteel River, Ontonagon, in 1909. He died in 1946 and 1 daughter, Vienna, preceded her in death in 1952.

Mrs. Komula was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors are 2 sons, Henry & Elmer, Ontonagon, 5 daughters, Mrs. Hugh Kekke & Mrs. Charles Lindberg - Detroit & Mrs. Donald Leiviska - Northville, Mrs. Edward Rode -Sandusky & Mrs. Calvin Saari - Royal Oak - 10 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services held at the Allen Cane Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Kuosisto officiating. Burial in the Riverside Cemetery.
