Hilton Dowdall (1967 - 2020)

Brief overview:

Hilton (53), and his partner, Chantal, were attacked and tied up of their farm at Summerveld, near Hillcrest, KZN on the evening of Thursday 27th August 2020, when five males broke down the door of his house. They were both gagged and tied up, and Hilton was stabbed to death.

"This morning I heard tragic news that my dad was killed in his home in Durban, and even though the way he died was tragic and beyond horrible, I would like everyone to please remember my dads amazing life rather than the horrible way he left us. "RIP Hilton Dowdall .... We had some good times "Old Sport". You were a man who always stood your ground on property rights, poaching, etc etc. I am almost 100% sure that it will emerge, that you were on a "hit list" for standing your ground and not taking nonsense in our area. Who knew that you were going away the next day, were packing your vehicle that night, had booked all your dogs into the kennel having no early warning and protection that night ? .... That's where the investigation should start."
