Chloe Blakeman enumerated in 1850 in the household of Hyram Eldredge in Clarksfield, Ohio. Hyram was born in 1816 in New York. He married Pamelia Dutton in 1843 in Huron County, Ohio. He lived in 1847 in the Gridley District. He had no children of his own, but John, Sidney and Chloe Blakeman were enumerated in his household. He was enumerated on the 1880 census at New London in Huron County, and died there in 1894. Another Hiram Eldredge was born about 1831 and enumerated on the 1880 census at Victory in Cayuga County, New York.
Notice that the family of Lewis Blackman was connected to an Eldridge family. After the death of Lewis Blackman, the farm he settled was owned by "his grandson, Norton Blackman, and the remainder by Edson and John Eldridge."
