His Grace Yacob Mar Polycarpos

On 19 February 1921 was born this man of God to Mathew, Mazhuvancheriparambath and Annam, Memuri. He took his B.A degree from U.C College, Aluva and his B.T from Training College, Trivandrum. He received his deaconship and later on 3 July 1948 his priesthood from His Holiness Geevarghese II. On 15 May 1978 at Pazhanji Church H.H Baselios Marthoma Mathews I consecrated him as Metropolitan Yacob Mar Polycarpos. He was made Metropolitan of Kochi diocese. He passed away on 26 December 1986 and was laid to rest in Sion Seminary Chapel, Koratty.
