In 1840 census (Fairfield, Somerset Co., p. 223, Roll 704-151), family listed as males: 1 5-10, 1 10-15, 1 40-50; females: 2 under 5, 1 5-10, 1 20-30. In 1850 census (Norridgewock, Somerset Co., p. 156, Roll 268), family listed as: Holway 2nd, age 51, farmer, property value $1800; Cordelia, age 46; Oliver, age 21, farmer; Lydia A., age 19; Sam'l B., age 16; Sarah B., age 14; Charlotte S., age 11; Louisa, age 8; Chas. H., age 5; Amy G., age 3; and Juliet, age 2. Last children could be children of Oliver, but no wife listed in household in census. According to Somerset Co. records, Holway 2nd purchased land from: Edmund Knight 7 Apr 1829 in Fairfield (v. 42, p. 17, recorded 25 Mar 1836, listed as Holway Jr., witnessed by Holway Allen and Elihu Bowerman); and Barnabas Allen 1846 in Norridgewock (v. 60, p. 475, recorded 7 Jan 1847); and sold land in Fairfield to: Galen Soule 1 Apr 1836 (v. 37, p. 244, recorded 1 Apr 1836); Samuel Hoxie 4 Nov 1837 (v. 44, p. 268, recorded 11 Apr 1838, also signed by Cordelia and witnessed by Holway Allen); and Aaron Hoxie 27 Apr 1846 (v. 61, p. 288, recorded 7 Oct 1846, also signed by Cordelia). According to grave, age of about 70 years old.
