Homer Franklin Miner

Homer F. Miner, 78, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Connellsville, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004, after a courageous battle. Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Additional viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of the funeral service celebrating the life of Homer F. Miner, in the Otterbein United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Elmer Reamer officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Connellsville VFW and American Legion and Trotter American Legion Honor Guard. The Odd Fellows Lodge No. 386 will conduct a service today at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends consider making memorials to their local American Cancer Society and Hospice Center.
