Corydon. Married Louisa Harvey and had 7 children, lived in Ohio. In 1850 he was a farmer, 1860 a peddler. He sounds like a charmer. Wonder if he was good looking too. By 1870 he was selling lightening rods and living in Michigan with a widow 18 yr younger. She had 2 children and property. Meanwhile, Louisa had the Weeks farm in Ohio. Looks like he traded the farm for freedom. Corydon married the younger woman and they had Hattie in 1875. Don't worry about the divorce. It was more common than people thought and I've yet to find papers for anyone. Women in particular tended to list themselves as married.
By 1880 no one is on the family farm in Ohio. Sold? Walked away from? Louisa and 4 of her children were in Iowa. Again, why? I can't find a death date for her or place of burial. Do you have one?
