Death and Burial

Hon. Elizabeth Diana Bosville MacDonald died on 9 June 1839, at Edinburgh in Midlothian, Scotland. Her body was deposited in the vault below St. John's Chapel in Edinburgh before it was transported to Dingwall in Ross and Cromarty, where it was interred in the Davidson family vault. Her burial records reads as follows: "The Honble. Mrs Elizabeth Diana Bosville Davidson wife of Duncan Davidson Esq. of Tulloch, born 27th Febry 1804, died at Edinburgh 9th June 1839, and interred in the Family Vault at Dingwall the 7th November 1839. The body was deposited in a vault under St John's Chapel Edinburgh during the intervening period between the death and the interment".
