Hon. Ellen Strutt was born in 1860 at Kingston on Soar, Nottinghamshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Edward Strutt, 1st Baron Belper and Amelia Harriet Otter.1 She married George Murray Smith, son of George Murray Smith and Elizabeth Thomas Blakeway, on 22 October 1885 at Lougborough, Leicestershire, England.1,2 She died on 31 December 1940.1
