Biography Seymour Conway’s behaviour in Parliament followed the family pattern: he supported North’s Administration, opposed Shelburne and supported the Coalition; and does not appear to have spoken in the House. His seat at Wootton Bassett was bought in 1784 from Henry St. John, who was managing the borough for his brother Lord Bolingbroke. He voted for Sir Elijah Impey’s impeachment, 9 May 1788, and against Pitt’s Regency proposals.

He died 23 Nov. 1831.
