Hon, Sec Thomas Buddle

Thomas Buddle, Hon, Sec, was a founding partner of the law firm Buddle, Button and Co in Auckland
He was born in Auckland in 1847, the second son of Rev Thomas Buddle and Sarah Buddle nee Dixon, early Pioneering Missionary Leaders
At the time of his death in 1918, he was aged 71, and was a senior partner in the firm, which is the longest established law firm in Auckland
He was a director of many companies including the New Zealand Insurance Company, Auckland Gas company and the Colonial Sugar Refining Company
He was a strong supporter of the YMCA and a prominent official in the Methodist Church
