About Hon Sir George Augustus Anson
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was Chief Constable of Staffordshire between 1888 and 1929.1 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1907.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Field Artillery (TAR).1 He was decorated with the award of the King's Police Medal (K.P.M.) in 1918.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1925.
