Hon. Sir Robert Henry Meade, GCB

Hon. Sir Robert Henry Meade was born on 16 December 1835.1 He was the son of Richard Charles Francis Christian Meade, 3rd Earl of Clanwilliam and Lady Elizabeth Herbert.2 He married, secondly, Caroline Georgiana Grenfell, daughter of Charles William Grenfell and Georgiana Caroline Lascelles, on 13 April 1880.1 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Elizabeth Lascelles, daughter of Henry Lascelles, 3rd Earl of Harewood and Lady Louisa Thynne, on 19 April 1865.1 He died on 8 January 1898 at age 62.1

    Hon. Sir Robert Henry Meade held the office of Extra Groom of the Bedchamber to HRH The Prince of Wales.1 He held the office of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Colonial Office.1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1
