About Hon. William Norvell

A Patriot of the American Revolution for VIRGINIA. DAR Ancestor # A084923


William served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War. Two years after the war ended, he again served as a Captain in the newly formed Hanover County Militia. By 1788, he was made a Gentleman Justice of Hanover County. He owned 300 acres in St. Paul's Parish, Hanover County, Virginia. This land was ten miles southwest of the court house on the Chickahominy. Both he and his wife are buried there.
