Brown of El Paso, who was recently promoted to captain at Camp Claiborne, La., is the son of Mrs. Florelle L. Brown and is brother of Mrs. Brice W. Schuller of 1712 Elm street. The family has an interesting Army background. Captain Brown’s father, Henry L. Brown, when a captain in the Medical Corps, was stationed at Ft. Bliss during the Mexican campaign of 1916. He died in El Paso as a result of going in the relief of the people of Columbus after the Villa raid. Captain Brown’s mother has been a resident of El Paso since 1916.
