I (Constance Modrow) have a poor copy of Horace McKay's obituary. It reads.....Horace McKay Dies Here Last Evening.(newspaper article title) Horace McKay, aged 74 years, retired mural painter, died last evening at his home, 403 South Washinton Street, following an illness of several years. He had resided in El Dorado since 1942. Mr. McKay was an Englishman having been born in London, England on December 15, 1870. He came to America when about twenty years of age and had lived in this country since. He resided ost of his life in Missouri and Kansas, coming to El Dorado from Wellsville. His wife died in 1920. Mr. McKay is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Walker of Abilene, Texas; Mrs. Esther Mease of Omaha, Nebraska; and Mrs. Clara Keetch, of Truckee California; and two sons, Harry McKay of Chicago Illinois and Albert McKay, of Troutdale, Oregon. Funeral services will be hled at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Byrd Funeral Home, with Rev. Alvin W. Murray, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Internment will be made in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
