Cortland, Oct. 22 - The funeral of Horatio S. Birdseye, father of John C. Birdseye, clerk of the State Civil Service commission, will be held to-morrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from No. 25 North Pendleton street. He was a native of Pompey, but had made his home for several years with Peter VanOrder, near McLean, where he died on Sunday.
