About Howard Cook
Howard worked as a beat cop and motorcycle police officer for the Hamilton Police Department and then as a Deputy Sheriff for Sheriff Carpenter in Butler County Ohio. He then was a homicide detective and investigator for the infamous Ruppert murders. He also worked as a night watchman and prison guard at Lebanon Correctional. He was an expert marksman and gun enthusiast, motorcyclist and an avid gardener especially growing tomatoes, string green beans, corn, onions and peppers. He dearly loved his 7 kids by Vera Hingsbergen Cook: Dennis, Jerome, Virgil, Leonard, Dorothy, Anita, Paul. He didn't watch television, instead listened to police radio. He grew up on the famous 835 Dayton (Street ) Lane in Hamilton. The house his kids were raised in was halfway between Grandma Anna and Granpa Albert Cook's house on Dayton and Granma Lillian and Grandpa Paul Hingsbergen's house on 9th Street next to the Fire Dept.
