About Howard Bell McElroy, Sr
Howard B. McElroy, 65 of Providence died Monday, July 16 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was a coal miner.
Survivors include three sons, Carlis McElroy, Lexington, Howard, Jr. of Vermont and Derico Mooney of Korea; three daughters, Latrice Tillman, Hampton, Georgia, Natasha Simpson, Earlington and Edith Hall McElroy, Madisonville; three brothers, Rev. John McElroy, Providence, David McElroy, East Chicago, Indiana and Jerry McElroy, Joliet, Illinois; five sisters, Ernestine McElroy and Louise Williams of Mississippi, Paula Caudill and Cara Herrall, both of Providence and Anna Jones, Madisonville and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 11:00 from The Christian Worship Center with Rev. Marvin Hightower officiating.
Burial was in Cumberland Hill Cemetery in Providence. Townsend-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
