About Hubert E. Rich
RICH-- Hubert E. , 94, passed away January 14, 1998. He was born August 24, 1903 in Converse, IN, the son of Joseph and Maggie Williams Rich. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lorene, as well as a brother, Charles and a sister, Josephine. He is survived by: sons, John of Ridgefield, CT and Harry of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren. Mr. Rich was a graduate of Indiana University and came to Oklahoma in 1925 where he joined National Supply Company, he retired in 1968. He was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Tulsa. In addition, he was an active volunteer with the Meals-on-Wheels program and with the Red Cross throughout his retirement years. In 1994 he was the Massachusetts Mutual Unsung Hero for his Meals-on-Wheels work. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa. A memorial service at First Presbyterian Church will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 19, 1998. Ninde Funeral Home is in charge.
