Hulda Rosalie Weiss

In the 1911 Canada Census, Hilda is listed as 11 years old, born in August 1900 and living with her family in the Graburn district south of Walsh, Alberta. In the 1916 Census the family is living a few miles east in Saskatchewan. Info from family is that Hilda left home as a young girl to find work as a domestic helper and was never heard from again. From information received from BC Archives, it appears Hilda was admitted under the name Florence Wise to Essondale Provincial Hospital on 15 October 1942, Registration Number 20500. The year of birth (1906) on the hospital record as well as on the death registration is incorrect by 6 years. Family info is that Hilda was married to a Mr. Wahl. His first name is not known and no marriage record has been found.
