About Humphrey Underhill, II
From "Underhills of Warwickshire--Item#4 film #0229109 FHL(Chapt. VI)
"Humprey Underhills's 3rd son, so described in his father's will and mentioned in his mothers will, was named Humprey, and was baptized at Whitchurch, 10 Oct 1641. He describes himself as 'Of Wincott in the County of Gloucester, yeomen, age 33 or thereabouts' and mentions that he is a brother of the Thomas Underhill of Admington. Wincote is the name of what was formley a hamlet, but is now a single farm stead, lying midway between Quinton and Clifford Cahmbers, now in the latter parish, but formerly in both. It is mentioned in the "Taming of the Shrew"(Introduction, Scene 2) and there is a legend that :Measure for Measure" was first performed there."
