According to FamilySearch.org - in the 1850 US Census, he (or another Huston Farris of the same age) was living in Center, Marion, Indiana with the Volans Gold family. Volans was a blacksmith, born in Penssylvania. His wife was Peoba Gold, born in Ohio. Others in the household were William Gold, age 17, Sarah I. Gold, 16 yreas, Samuel Gold, 10 years and Jeremiah Cullens, age 69, who was born in 1781 in Maryland, appears to be a grandfather according to what I am able to read on the original census record.
