About Ichabod Hopkins

Ichabod Hopkins of Oyster Bay wrote his will 17 March 1726/7, asked that son Thomas pay all debts, son Daniel to have his small gun, and Thomas the long gun. Leaves his tools of carpentry and husbandry to these two sons. Remainder to be shared among his four daughters Elizabeth, Sarah, Dinah and Ann. His land Cedar Swamp Rd and the highway which he describes at length as to its physical to his two sons. Both sons to pay 40 pounds to each of the daughters, if they default the land is to be sold. Named son Daniel and brother Thomas Kirby, John Carpenter and Thomas Carpenter as exes. Proved 25 Feb 1730/1 at Hempstead. [1]
