Biography
Icabod was born about 1707, the son of Benjamin & Dorcas (Paine) Vickery. Through his mother, Dorcas (Paine) Vickery (granddaughter of Constance (Hopkins) Snow, he was a Mayflower descendent of Mayflower passengers Stephen Hopkins (his 2nd-great-grandfather) and Constance (Hopkins) Snow (his great-grandmother).
He married Elizabeth Bangs, daughter of Jonathan & Experience (Berry) Bangs, on 3 Mar 1728/9 at Harwich, Barnstable, MA Bay - parents of Timothy, Benjamin, Joseph, Jonathan, David, Abner, Thomas, Dorcas, Ichabod II & Temperance (last child born 1748, and all of the children were born at Harwich, Barnstable, MA)
He passed away in 1753 in Dutchess County, NY
