About Ida Louise Held

Mrs. Louis Held
Anemia, with which she bad been afflicted several years, caused the death of Mrs. Ida Louise Held, wife of ex-Mayor Louis Held, 1163 Twenty-first Avenue, Monday. Though her health had been failing for some time, she was bedfast only a few days before death came.

As Ida Louise Grotelueschen, Mrs. Held was born in Wisconsin January 21, 1867. In her childhood the family came to Nebraska and located la Colfax county, her parents being numbered among the pioneers of the community north of Richland.

October 14, 1886, she was married to Louis Held and they established their home in Columbus. Mrs. Held was a member of the Degree of Honor lodge and the Methodist church.

She leaves her husband; one son, William Held; two daughters, Mrs. John Staub, Jr., of Columbus, and Mrs. A. J. Kopp, of Julesburg, Colo.; five sisters, Mrs. Amelia Loseke, Mrs. William Lueke, and Mrs. John Held, of Columbus; Mrs. Louis Sander, of Creston, and Mrs. David Kluck of Richland, and two brothers, August and Chas. Grotelueschen, of Colfax county.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Wm. A. Albright at the home at 2 p.m. yesterday and at the Methodist church at 2:30 p.m., with burial in Columbus cemetery.
