Iftikhar uddin Qazi

The ‘baby’ of the house of Hafeez did very well for himself. As a General Medical Practitioner in Bradford, England with his English wife, Annette. They lived in a comfortable, well-provided house till recently with their two daughters, Rehana and Sara plus two adopted sons, Jamil and Danyal. He was a popular doctor and a dedicated champion of the large Pakistani Community in Bradford and the surrounding towns. Danyal committed suicide, a victim of the cult of drug addiction, in October, 1999. This was a great shock to Ifi who never recovered from this tragedy and died in July, 2001 of a sudden heart attack which allowed no chance of any medical attention that was available close to his house. Ifi’s house in England, his loving mannerism, Annette’s great hospitality and expertise in Pakistani cuisine were ever available to any and every Pakistani relative who asked to be their guest in Bradford. Annette has moved next door to Rehana and her good, caring husband Alan. Sara is a highly qualified scientist working in Nottingham.
