Ingeborg Kruse

Janet Walsh: in the notes here the writer implies that Ingeborg Tygesdatter Kruse's birthdate of 1575 is incompatible with her brother Enevold Tygesson's birth date of 1554. I disagree. Their mother, Birgitte Lauridsdatter Munk's birthdate has been given as 1535. That would make her 19 years of age when she birthed her son, and 40 years old when she birthed her daughter. That is not an impossibility. Personally, I gave birth to my second child when I was 42! What has surprised me through much of my ancestry research is how many women gave birth in their 40's, and how many children many of these women successfully birthed.

Note that if Enevold Tygesson should be her full brother he has an established birth date in 1554!

If Margareta married Peter before 1622, she probably was born around 1605 or so. / SHE IS BORN March 21, 1604 in Hiiumaa, Estonia/
This means thar Ingeborg Kruse must have been born maybe some 20 years before that. /AND DOES NOT FIT WELL WITH A FULL BROTHER BORN 1554/

Janet Walsh: I don't believe that Ingeborg Kristoffersdotter Kruse is the mother of Margareta Holtenborg. The curator's note says that Kristoffer Enevoldsen Kruse didn't have a daughter of that name. If he had, she would have been too old to be Margareta's mother, given her mother's death age. Christoffer Enevoldsen Kruse's son Tyge had a daughter Ingeborg, born around 1575. She would have been the right age to be Margareta's mother. I think Margareta's mother is Ingeborg Tygesdatter Kruse. Ingeborg married her first husband, Jens Mikkelsen Hvas til Sostrup in 1597, and had two children. Jens died in July 1602. It is unlikely that Ingeborg, at age 27 from a wealthy family, would have remained a widow. Her second marriage to Margareta's father Truls Jonsson Holtenborg could have taken place in 1603. Margareta was born in 1604.
