Iosif (Iosel) Shein

Iosel Shein was a rabbi. He was probably born in Gomel, but we aren't sure yet. No one remembers the name of his wife. Both of them died before WWII, but his wife preceded him by years.

He had dark hair.

New information as of 02/27/11 - Most likely Iosel was born in Slutzk. When his daughters got married in Gomel, all of them were recorded as being born in Slutzk. Also, for the Slutzk location speaks the record of Movsha Shain (Moisha Sheyn) in Slutzk in "Jewish Religious Personnel In the Russian Empire, 1853-1854."
