About Irine Scheinberger

She became Miss cote d'Azur at the age of 15. She was very close to her older sister Tatiana, especially after her mother's death in 1929 and lived together with her sister in Rome the last 20 years of her life.

She was a painter, painting Russian scenes of a Russia she had never lived in, but to whom she was very close culturally and spiritually. She would speak and translate many European languages at ease. There would always be cats in her life who were treated as if they were humans
