Irma Hirsch

Irma was the third of the Freimark siblings to leave Germany for the USA. Eventually the entire family left including mother Regina. She sailed from the port of Hamburg on board the S.S "Deutchland" November 9, 1933, arriving 8 days later on Nov.17 1933. She gave her age as 24 and her destination address in the Bronks New York, on 30 W181 St where her sister Bertha Greenbaum was living at that time (after getting married ?) She also gave the name of her nearest relative in Germany as her mother Regina Freimark of Homburg, Bavaria, house 23. When Emmy her sister traveled to the USA before her in Nov. 1926 Emmy gave her father's name as the nearest relative in Germany and since it is known that Isaak (Jsaak) died in Germany it may mean that he died between Nov, 1926 and Nov 1933 Irma traveled again from Germany to New York leaving Germany on the same ship on Sept 12 1935 arriving on the 21st, still as a single woman. She had brown hair and blue eyes and was missing a righthand little finger.
